Hello, my name is Clair Jackson; I am an alumnus of Bishop Lynch High School and a former student of Mr. Corey Johnson. I first met Mr. Johnson at the end of my sophomore year during my school’s spiritual retreat, a day spent reflecting on God. Mr. Johnson oversaw rock decorating in his classroom, writing on and decorating rocks in reflection of God. I immediately thought he was very funny and cool; he had created a machine out of old bike parts to crack open geodes. This made me want to take his sculpture class. Mr. Johnson is good at all types of art, not just sculpture, which is great because I wasn't really the type to do sculpture; I mainly focus on 2D art. He helped me make a giant 5-foot-long paper mâché dragon that still projects into the room on top of the bookshelves in the school library. Overall, I took three different classes with Mr. Johnson as my teacher. I am finishing my basics at Collin College; my art was published in their FORCES magazine. I keep in touch with Mr. Johnson; truthfully, he has been my favorite teacher ever!
